Well... you know those pills against heart attacks, ey? The standard procedure for the photographer:

1) Open the small bottle of pills,

2) Take one one out.

3) Then... just turn the bottle upside down over your mouth!

;-)

Aaarrghh, again those objects intentionally placed exactly where the photographer don't need them, ey? I tell you, they do that only to make our lives hard! I always said that camera and lens is not enough equipment for photographic work! Some small dynamite packets are obviously absolutely necessary too! ;-)

I know what you talk about, Dan. So many times I have the same things around and I almost spit foam! I wish I could remain as cool as you in such cases because you took the best out of the situation.

Cheers!

Nick

Thanks Nick, yes you are right the angle wasn't the best but the angle chosen here was to remove some distracting elements, lamp posts fences and other bits and pieces ;-). So glad you like the other elements in the shot, Regards, Dan

Thank you very much Mary, yes I think the leaves come out amazing in infrared, you can see patterns and shapes that you take for granted with full colour images.

I must thank that moon for being there, at your work, Dan! And I must also ask it why it couldn't be a bit bigger though I must accept that the distance between earth and moon is exactly right for assuring a stable trajectory and thus also the possibility for taking images with a moon for a looooong time! ;-)

Anyway, it has enough imaginary power even without the moon. Something of a crystal world but then again also very real. One of the most important things in all photography: Not what but how to capture it! This image satisfies that very well. The many details in strong light and radiating colors add that touch of the special in quite a "common" scene.

I have the impression that turning the camera a bit downwards could help composition to get even better. This way perhaps some stronger sense for the depth would be present too, especially if there would be some place of reference (floor etc) that extends back to the trees and the tower.

Cheers!

Nick

The architectural design of that tower is so intricate and photographed in IR really show all of its beautiful details. Fantastic composition dear Dan. I love the colors here as well.
Big hug and kiss my dearest friend.

This is so appealing. The beautiful architecture balances wonderfully with feathery plants. This has a magical feeling. Gorgeous.
