About a sad little tombstone-it had been knocked over and was laying on the ground.
Again, no tripod... :(
Added some 'framing' in ps, and dodged a bit for a film fog effect.

Very sad and very beautiful testament.
That font is wonderful and with your treatment could be stone or silver. Nice work CorrieLynn

Hi CorrieLynn,

this is awesome stuff. although the image has a lot of sadness... I like the "film" look here, the framing (great work!) and the rusty textures. very good still.

best wishes,
Thilo

Very sad; but I am sure the spirit is now resting in peace up above. You've done a wonderful tribute and symphaty upon this, Corrie.

the soft leaves add so much to this. the way you did the background almost feels like a night sky. peaceful sadness.

Wow, Corrie. I also love old cemetaries. They seem to have so many sad stories to tell. You can almost feel her parents tears still on her little grave. We do geneology research sometimes and go to lots of old cemetaries- there were lots of babies who didn't live past 5 or so back then. I agree it is so sad. We should all be reminded of how blessed we are to be alive during the era we are- possibly some of US wouldn't be here if we had been born back then.... does make you think!

That is something...the people had to have been much stronger back then...maybe even more 'distant'. I cannot fathom myself living past the death of one child, let alone so many. Really makes you wonder the mindset of how it was back then...and so sad that this does still happen :(
Very thought provoking image...

I was astonished at how many tombstones there were for infants-its a fairly large cemetary, and very old. It was so sad. There was one family that had a baby girl named alice, she died at 3 days age, so they had another little girl, and named HER alice, and she died at age 2, and it just kept going. They had i think 5 daughters, and they named them all alice, and they all died before age 6. I cant imagine what it would be like for that to be the norm.-you have a baby, and just dont expect it to live. And to think this still happens in most parts of the world...

Sad...makes you wonder what cut her little life so short. Love visits to cemetaries...such history and beauty.

Perfect tones and framing...very fitting mood.
