Marc, thanks for the comment and ideas. Glad you liked it, i had a lot of fun that night making that picture. I did try to increase contrast but as you say I did blow highlights :) so I left everything as is.
Will try to play with it again without touching highlights that time.

Quite an original, and pretty interesting still life. I like it. I jush wish you had less DOF - the 2nd tomato slightly blurry was better imo - and a more contrasty lighting. You may try to add contrast in PS here, but you would need to watch the highlight, and maybe leave it out of the selection when doing so. Quite nice still, quite moody, and I love the red and the shape and color of these leaves. Regards.

Slava, thanks for your comment. I understand what you are saying. But don't you think that if the bottom tomato was better defined than basil wouldn't be "standing out" as well as it does now?

matte finish and absense of clearly deliniated lines on the bottom tomato bug me. top on is great, but the bottom one looks like it is from a different picture. good comp considering limited subject matter.
