excellent is right. you nailed that church. i tried so hard to capture the essence of it when i was there but i ended up with washed out colors and an image lacking this pizzazz. what wonderful composition and a great way to remember new mexico.

Adam, No photoshop except removing one small white streak of light caused by mulfunction of my camera and some cleaning.

And here I thought it was a night shot and that was a satellite or comet or something. Now that would have been amazing. ;-)

Chris, I'm sure you Photoshopped out the contrail and looked at the two images side by side hundreds of times and finally decided to post this one. I think each way the image would have worked. Not sure what I would prefer, though.

Design-wise, this image is amazing! I think I would like it better with out the little trail.. But it still rocks!

minimalist. Simple, yet strong colors.

Actually I used no filter at all. Not even a UV filter. I measured ambient light and exposed it right on the money. I usually overexpose the provia and set the meter to 80 or even 60 ISO when taking photos with highet contrast. My scanner contributed a bit since it scans the positives a little darker. I had to wait a few minutes to get the plain where I wanted it to be. Thanks.

Superb! Chris i love this little jet contrail just in the middle of the square, It a brillant detail, the jet was there at the right time, How much do you pay the pilot to be there at the right time!!!! :-) I suppose you have a polirized filter for this deep blue and this contrast. Good job.
