I could live without the background, but I really like the image. (I lived in Seattle for a year and the Gasworks was by far my favorite place to shoot!). The drop shadow works well, adding to the graphic quality of the shot. I think a neutral gray or white background would work well.

No, don't especially like the background texture thing but like the image - David Lynch meets Dick Cheney while bumping into Ho Chi Minh having lunch with Wayne Gacy and Paris Hilton - thats what it says to me. I would go with a lite gray, overcast backround. When in doubt go Ominous........Can't loose....
hi, first off,this is my fave park in Seattle...like the perspective and silhouette details...the BG texture isn't working for me,but i do like the drop shadows....it is so close to being a threshold high contrast B/W,that i think i would just go that route if were mine...always something worth shooting there,huh... regards,gayle
