You captured the essence of the day wonderfully. Very dark and gloomy. Has a feeling of peace and tranquility to it also. Wonderful shapes of the tree branches.

Two facing empty benches under a nude tree in a moody atmosphere... "Great Expectations" is THE title. Fortunately these expectations will be fullfilled some day (in 4 or 5 months time!). The worst ones are those based on an uncertain illusion: nobody knows when and how the waiting would end, if ever.
Very nice, English landscape (recalls me outdoor scenes- as I imagined them- while reading Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights as English course texts!...)

Ina,
Nice detail seen in the bench(s)and large tree with all its branches overhanging. The colour certainly depicts a winter mood with the snow seen on the ground and fog in the background.
Reminds of mystery setting.

Thanks very much Mark for your nice comments! I tweaked the colors a bit towards blue/green, although the fog was there, and desaturated the green grass. I wish I could do more fog pictures, I never seem to be out when there is fog! I use the panoramic format exactly to be able to show more detail, because it basically allows a larger picture. I hope you have better luck with the computer and the new software in the new year, and I wish you all the best in 2006! Best regards, Ina

GREAT mood shot. The light is cold, damp, and full of magic and mood, helped out by the bare trees and empty benches, of course. A fantastic composition here Ina! Also good use of the new Usefilm panoramic feature. We rarely get to see the sort of detail available in the larger image format. A very nice work here.

Well, there is always sunshine at the end of the tunnel! Or so it is said. This image is very beautiful, but...rather too moody for the last day of the year! I can give it a lot of interpretations, but I prefer to keep them for myself. As always, a creation which stirs attention and admiration.

Ina, it's nice with some mysterious dramatism but with calming down composure.
I like this nice composition of low angled forms wrapped with a thin layer of haziness. Great mood of tranquility but with a pinch of anxiousness.
The image is great in monochrome but again very uneasy and secret.
It is great expression for the last day of the passing year to set us into New Year that will write a whole new chapter into our lives.
Ina, please have a great coming year fill with good health, happiness and plenty reasons for smile. It's for you and your close ones.
