Santa Claus presented me with a nice opportunity on an amazing photographic machine: a 1961 Rolleiflex 3.5 F with a Planar lens AND a Rolleikin, all for something around US$ 120.00!
Ok, both lens have some fungus, on the taking lens I believe elements might be separating or "decementing", speeds must be checked. Never mind. This camera ROCKS! More on it later.
This image is a crop from a Kodak 100 Gold using the Rolleikin, shot by my mistake as if it were 400 ASA. It was wide open, handheld. I find it amazing. Due to my mistake it became quite grainy, altough you won't notice it much due to the size reduction.
The amount of detail is really impressive. I'll send it to a deep maintenance spa and hope it'll be nice enough to astonish me even more.
For those new to old Rolleiflexes, the Rolleikin is an ingenious adapter that allows you to benefit from its amazing lens on 35mm film.
