What is amazing is that you could probably never re-create the 1st image since there is no meters for the amount of play that one does in "levels or curves". Which is fine because you create an original piece of art every time. Your 2nd attempt is not a dup of the 1st but very pretty in it's own right. I'm back at it tonight. Thanks for the tips.

Sorry, Ron, about your frustration. I tried to achieve the same effect once more & came close by
1. Accented edges.
2. Autocolor
3. Filters: 1. Texturise.
2. Solariztion
4. brightening via curves.
3 & 4 can be done in the reverse order.
Hope this works. BTW, 3 & 4 were suggested by a canadian UF friend, Jacques Brisboit. I just learned it from him.

Well I tried to achieve this effect and I am 3 hours later still very frustrated. I reiterate that you have achieved a very desired effect here. This is a well done piece of work. I'm putting this into my favorites for now. I'll check back later to once again attempt this.

A beautiful piece of art, Rafael. Thank you for your recent comments and adding me to your friends list. The same techniques in PS have ruined many a good photo. You have created a real pleasant image and I am not just saying this. I have yet been able to make use of the watercolour filter or the texture filter. I just got back from a caribean vacation and I am encouraged to try it with some of my land/sea shots. Thank you.

so much of what I hear on the news, isn't colorful, this is nice to see. I like the warm colorful feel.
