About While the tide was out and the sun low in the sky a break in the clouds brought me out to the beach to capture the short but dramatic lighting here on Hornby Island

What an amazing shot, everything seems to suck us right to the trees. Beautiful details, textures and lighting. Alison

Beautiful sky in this one, Tim, and I like the composition, with the clump of trees, almost silhouetted.

Hi Tim, The thing that makes this photo strong is that all imaginary lines converge at the bush, sucking in the viewers attention beautifully. Yet, the contrasts and tones within this shot are a bit low for my taste, and it seems to lack more crispness than one would expect in wintertime. There are a few patches of light, but barely enough to introduce the needed punch.

Cheers,

Hugo

A work which can not be recognized easily, that is your way of showing a great scene, the low angle shot.
Perspective, light and focal point of excellent choice, well composed image.
Saeed
