Darlene -- What a beautiful bird this is! Not being accustomed to anything but sparrows, robins, and magpies I was startled to see such a large, wader bird perched on a branch. I'd just never conceptualized that. As to the photo, well done! I like how you have isolated the bird against such a clean, uncluttered background.

This is stunning Darlene. I tried to take photos of a woodpecker today but they all came out blurry. Think I'll leave the birds to you. :) The white really stands out beautifully against the darker background. Wonderful details and razor sharp quality as usual. I love that little splash of green around his eye. Beautiful!

Wispy white with a splash of green :) Very soft look to this beautiful bird...except the legs and feet!! Such a large bird perched on such a small branch...great balance!
