Thank you very much for your comments. I don't think it was the scanner, because I use a scanner that scans directly from the negative..so it's very high quality..it's just kinda a bad picture lol. I WILL try and reshoot it at a different f-stop. Also, I do not own a polarizer...at least not yet. I really like the guy walking to give it some scale, so I'll have to kinda camp around and wait for another subject to walk into the frame. And to answer your question, yes, that was indeed one of MANY pilots at this campus..including myself :-) I'll take a look at your link also. Thanks again for your input, I really appreciate it. ~Luke Luke119@yahoo.com
Great shot, and really great idea, the framing, the composition, etc... The person (pilot?) walking towards the camera makes the picture for me... and of course that great pattern of airplanes.. But i think it needs a little work, the sky is a little blown out, and the picture overall is not the sharpest... I guess this would have looked great if you had used a polarizer, for the sharpness, it can be the scan, if it is, go to this link http://www.usefilm.com/articles/sharpness/ , hope it helps; and if it is due to some movement, use a tripod and try to use a wider aperture to get better saturated colors, maybe you can use a slower film too... but really, this shot has a lot of potencial, you should give it another shot! cheers!
