The frozen water looks like something you would see in a dream world. Love the tall grasses on the sides and the off center image of your wife Petal in the photo.

Well deserved, my friend Markus. Lovely composition, indicating the almost endless strech of skating-ice with the weeds making a natural corridor & frame. Ours was a widened family meeting, celebrating the 50th birthday of one of Rachel's cousins, son of one of Rachel's grandfather's 9 offsprings. At its peak we were 25 at the dinner table, from various corners of the Globe. I was more or less appointed official photographer of the occasion, but to the chagrin of those present I refrained as much as possible from "Cheese!" photos & concentrated on portraits, which I probably won't post & atmosphere photos, some of which are already posted. There was a great deal of group activity going on around the post-prandium table up to 1 am in the morning, many legends were put in real proportion & being a mere Springmann, I was almost Keschnerized (that's the surname of the original grandfather & that of many of the offsprings'.) Rachel is by birth a Kaschner. One of the true Kescners was also koscher, & I used to joke that I was a non-koscher non Keschner.
