Hi Aram, I don't think I've taken the pictures intentionally like this, to be precise, I take a lot of pictures and select from a good number. This wasn't possible before with film, because of cost, but with digital and a fast shutter it's different. We don't have to "think" each shot as much as before, especially these live events :)
As for the logos, I find text is always interesting with an image, given the subject :)

Beautiful composition.

It seems that you have (intentionally?) taken the two picture from two (slightly) different angles so that, once re-composed, they respect the perspective.

It's amazing to see how these twins have the same passion for drums!!

(Viva Yamaha and long life to Addidas too!)

Thanks very much Rina! I see the pano as a good way to do composites and show more detail, the bigger the better, I can't have enough pixels :))) Cheers, Ina

You're putting the pano feature to very good use Ina! Being able to view the details in your work is an absolute treat my friend. Wasn't until I opened it up fully that it dawned on me I was looking at two different captures as well!

Great stuff.

Thanks very much Andre, you're right about the individual pictures, I had them as such initially, and didn't know which one to post, they were almost identical except for one boy's smile, so - luckily with this panoramic format I could show both :)

Hi Ina,
Either image could stand on it's own, if you wanted it to. Nice to see the expression on the boys faces changing when presented like this though.

Ina, I like this great twinning effect and the clever idea. The composition is kept in unique sepia blend with some chromes still popping through. This artistic impression is complementing by the snaring noise of the drums doubled intentionally. Cheers, n.j

Interesting effects, Ina! They look like they're just strolling out of a misty backgound. Nice toning, too.

You're right, Karina - now that you said this, it made me think of those processions that come out from the old clock towers, every hour :)

Very nice. The different expressions on the smaller drummer furthers the interesting combination. The lighting and graphic appearance really makes it a collection one has to look at.

Heh-heh, Ann I have to remember that expression "to talk under wet cement" - I didn't know that one, very funny! Well I hope you do get on the FP with one of my pictures, or even better, vice-versa - your picture and my critique! Or just you and your awards! Cheers, Ina

Ann Nida Ann Nida   {K:45248} 2/6/2006
Yes they are very similar but it's fun spotting the differences. More of the drumstick shows on the base drum on the right image. The right boy's left drumstick is higher...I could go on and on - hehe.

I'm getting a repuation for being flappy mouthed where that front page is concerned. All it means is that I can talk under wet cement and can type that way too. One of these days I'm going to find one of my silly comments (like this one) on the front page and I'll be so embarrassed. (haha)

Cheers - Ann :)

Thanks very much Ann! Canada Day is July 1st, but they are already practicing for the parade. I can't wait to shoot again that parade, I love marching bands. You get the prize for spotting the two different moments, I thought it was cute how one of them bursts into a smile while the other stays serious. The pictures are too similar to show as two separate pictures, so I combined them in a sequence :) Cheers Ann, and I see your Front Page again! Congratulations!!! Hugs, Ina

Happy Canada Day Ina! When was it? Did I miss it? :)

Very nice Ina. At first I thought you were going for a repetition effect to give it more "sound" (figuratively speaking of course) but looking closer I see they are 2 different images. You almost got me. :) A bit like those cartoons you see that say spot the differences. The eyes are open on the boy on the left but in the right image they are closed and his left drumstick isn higher on the right. Do I get a prize? :)

Great tones and interesting lighting almost like spotlights on them. I like this very much Ina. Great work.

Cheers - Ann :)
