This is such a lovely composition my sweet Janet. The mono tones are great and the silhouetting of the two pals is wonderful. Great stuff sweetie.
I have to say, after looking at the attachment, that the glass is in terrible condition (similar to my car's windscreen) and that the little bundle of fur jumping up and down outside would make a very nice furry sponge to wash the windows with. Big hugs and very best wishes to you sweetie...Ray

Haha! Lovely composition Janet! Great contrast, levels & details as well! I had done a similar work named Tribal Bliss. Composition was different though, but same effect. Very well done.

Regards.

Very Cool! To me it has a Spielberg quality to it: strong light, a child, and a cute dog. Another interesting and original shot!...that i REALLY like.

Good grief! How rude am I, eh? Waffling on about the other shot and neglecting to tell you how much I like this one. Particularly the way you captured all that light and still have perfect detail in your subjects. Not to mention capturing a moment that is both sweet AND funny. Way to go Janet.

Cheers
Rina

The attached shot is a riot Janet!
He reminds me of those things on that Star Trek episode... Tribbles.... or something like that :)

Oh yeah, Tell them to clean that sliding door glass.... It's disgusting :) :)

This is gorgeous Janet. What a great catch to capture the halfling wanting out and the dog wanting in at the same time. Too cute with him reaching up so high and poochie's little tongue hanging out waiting so patiently to come inside as dogs do. (except for mine cause they bang on the door with their paws to come inside when they want in.. I'm sure if we had a doorbell they'd learn to ring that). (haha)

This is masterfully done Janet to capture this straight into the light like this without burning out the image. Instead you've ended up with a very cool sihouette of both child and dog. Super shot and great work.

Thanks also for your lovely comment on my waterfall shot. I'm working on an automated computer generated ideas for children's photos system. When I have it perfected I will send it your way. :)

Cheers - Ann :)

Oh my, Kathy, don't show her this then!! Check out the photo I attached to Andre's reply, please :)
This is my sister's house and she wasn't too happy that I was taking pictures of her glass door before she had a chance to clean it :) She is going to kill me when she see this (HI Jill :))

Thank you, Kathy!!

Thank you, Andre, in the color version you can see the pink tongue a bit, and when I converted I did dodge the face just a bit....no flash :)

That dog was determined to get in the house, too...check out the attached picture :) I was actually going to do a little collage, but decided against it. This shot was a bit less blown in the background.

wow, I saw the photo, opened it but didn't look at the name at all. I would never have guessed it to be one of yours. Now don't ask me why. :)

But very nice and creative shot either way!

Excellent silhouette Janet!
Just the right amount of detail on the little boy so that he doesn't just appear as a black cut-out. I'm surprised you got as much detail on the face of the dog with all that light shining in behind him. (I assume you didn't use a fill-in flash)

You wouldn't believe what this shot brings to my mind, Janet. Here goes...our Mother LOVES kids, but she also LOVES to have clean windows. She NEVER lets her grandkids or great-grandkids put there hands on her windows, and they learn that at a very early age! So the first thing I thought was..."Mom sure wouldn't like this!"
Okay, enough of that...this is adorable! Another great post!

Great silhouettes Janet! And lovely B/W tones. I like the pose of the kid, and the dog makes the picture look very funny. Great capture! Here goes my 7even!

best wishes,
ferran
