Matt, yes I had thought of converting it to B/W but I thought something might've been lost in the picture. I think too that the blue background helps the moon stand out more. In addition, since it's a Blue Heron I thought the blue background added a compliment to the bird itself.

That's the moon...nothing was added. The image was cropped 'cause the original is pretty large. I didn't want to get too close to him and scare him off but I knew that with only a 93mm lens I'd have to get close enough and then crop out what I didn't want. I've attached the original.

Good composition.You did quite well with 93mm.Was the moon there or did u add it later?
