I like this one a little better than the other napa shot. I think the brighter clouds towards the middle and a bit more blue in the sky! The tree seems more detailed than the other. Another pleasing landscape Jim!!You have some very nice images in Your portfolio! Thanks again Jim! My best..................John

I'm very interested in the tilted-checker-board pattern (or that's how I see it) in the foreground, as well as the great composition in general. Excellent one.
Regards.

I find any patterned orchards or fields difficult to capture on film... Sure, i can snap a shot down an aisle, but recreating the dizzying effect of the maze as you drive by is an entirely different accomplishment. Well, you've done that here. The complexity of the grid is gorgeous in this late-day light. Thanks for sharing, matt

Very beautiful and dramatic composition Jim! I like the way one cloud and the tree are illuminated and the light following the green patches along the vine rows. Perfect composition with the two curves joining exactly at the tree, and superb criss-cross patterns. I like the low angle and saturated colors, too, and the way the vine posts are profiled against the sky. It has a mystical quality! Wonderful work! Best regards, Ina

what a lovely capture of this landscape, the horizon lines converging to the golden tree. The patterns in the field and the dark clouds all add up to make this image very attractive. The low warm lighting creates the texture and and illuminates the tree perpectly.... beautiful landscape scene.. congrats!

WOW! so many elements coming together so well for this comp....the light is most appealing and the golds are a nice contrast with the greens...i also like the natural abstract qualities...the ominous sky is a nice mix of light n' dark...and the lone tree is perfectly placed within the framing....super work,Jim! regards, gayle
