Ina,

Thank-you for your postive feed back and comments. Also SGT Lopez is now back in the states with his family and is doing good.

Very heart warming picture, Chuck. I love the way you captured this quiet moment, and reading the rest of the information, I hope the boy and SGT Lopez are each safe together with their families. It's amazing that after a dangerous mission SGT Lopez found the time to enjoy a simple pleasure such as sharing his music with a child. Great image! Best regards, Ina

Susan,

Thank-you for the feed back. Actually SGT Lopez loved going down to the Green Zone to spend time with the children as well as do some shopping.

Also you are right SGT Lopez did have a lot on his mind that day - We had been attacked by insurgents on Route Irish and he was about three weeks away from going home on R&R. So I'm sure he was thinking about home, family and friends.

The good news is SGT Lopez is back in the states and was never injured the whole time in Iraq. I thought I'd share rest of the story - and as Paul Havery use to say "Now you know rest of the story" -- just kiddin - as a kid I use to love Paul Harvey.

Best Wishes,
Chuck

Chuck,
What a nice moment to have captured, I see happiness in the child but, not in Mr lopez, he seems to be in a deep thought, maybe thinking of his family, I'm probably wrong about Mr Lopez, but that is what I feel when I see this image.

What a different image we would all have of Iraq if this type of picture was used in our daily newspapers?

Great shot

Very beautiful image.
I think Mr Lopez is nice gentleman and shy.
Perhaps he would love go back to his home in California among his real bros!
