About We came upon our final destination just as the sun was in his last quarter... There was a chill in the air though the showers had once again passed. My children waited & watched the rays of the sun highlight the surrounding woodland & looked with wonder to a tall tower that could be seen standing greatly in the distance... as if keeping watch behind the trees.

Waiting patiently for their mother to make the climb up the hill; taking photos all the while.

I could feel the eyes of the unknown watching me as I finally approached the door to the ruins.

A dainty little sign stated 'No picnics inside the Priory'
'Enter at your own risk'...

to be continued.

Thank you for the comment Bobby... the words are a little part of a whole... 'A Ghostly tale' written to go with the photo's I've taken from the priory.

The story starts at 'Priory Hill' and continues throughout this series ... may even have a bit of a twist in the ending!!! lol

Anyway... be sure to read all the 'abouts' and follow this tale to the end.

Thanks for the comment.

Excellent shot of this old stone wall and gate, Sue! I like the detail and textures you've captured here, and your composition.
