Brava Mireille, an impressive flower pattern. What I like most is the depth creates by the black square in the middle of your square composition and closed in a square frame. A concentric geometrical pattern that is deep as a well(nature and geometry walk toghether in your pictures). Very pleasant the colours too: three complementary hues soft and warm.

This is really beautiful and sensuous, Mireille. I love the composition in which the red and yellow of the flower are contrasted marvellously with the greens of the leaves.

For me this is strictly an abstract picture. I feel that the composition is lacking. The brightest part of the picture is in the lower right almost out of the picture and the yellow diagonal leads out of the picture on the upper right and the brightest part of that is at the edge of the picture. I might help to darken the edge where this yellow goes out of the picture. sorry to rain on your parade. Don.

I have found it impossible to detect the point of focus BUT, this is not a problem for me in this instance. The colours are superbly rich in the foreground; the yellow, a burnt orange and the rusty reds, the greenery in the background is excellent. I would love to be able to find something more of value to add to this critiquer's corner image but I am totally unqualified to do so. I think you have produced another piece of floral abstract art with a superb bold crop and the plant's own wonderful natural patterning. Well done to you Mireille, I love the effect you have achieved with this..'See' you again soon.......Ray

a macro from finest ... if in the background the green sheet by the lighting from the blossom would not deflect! I find the composition the cutting and the colors and the sharpness splendidly...a miraculous beauty!!!

Would love to 'dish it out' but I love it!! Another great floral abstract!! Love the color combination and the shallow DOF, excellent (almost diagonal.... and that's maybe my only point... you perhaps could've turned your camera just a bit more so that the red leave lined up with the opposite corners) composition... well done!!!
