well mark the return of your holga mood.. the vignetting is so strong and also the centered frame in the contest!
i like it so mcìuch, and very well presented..

I like the depth of colour in the foreground but it makes the sky look colourless. I would crop the sky just above the roof of the building.

Fabulous - as no one lives there anymore...

Great wide angle and percpective but the grey sky makes the overall shot a little disjointed..

And now I've just read that you have already commented on this bit...could you give it a little color?

Cheers

Hi Kevin

Thanks for your indepth comment It was appreciated. It's nice to know I set high expectations. I'll try harder next time hahahahaha.

I like the loneliness of this image the only thing I'm not really happy about is the grad on the top. It was a burnt out area that I thought needed fixing but on reflection it may have been better untouched.

Cheers mate

How does one go about critiquing a Holga shot on any technical level, really? My only knock might be that I find this a little static. Holgas lend themselves so well to angles and flashes of colour and other dynamic elements like you illustrate so well in your "I Dream Awake" and "Useless Desires" series that I have trouble getting excited about this one.

Oh, and for the record, that digital set you had going with "Parked", "Brickhouse", "The Watcher", etc. were brilliant! You've just set my expectations too high, dude. :)

hi mark, nice burnt out effect. i like the saturaed blues and the desolate feeling the treatment brings to the shot. my only grouse (small one), is i wish the houses closest to teh camera were more in focus.

Is this picture altered with extra vignetting in photoshop?
