Even if the picture is out of focus, the picture is still a great shot. It is a picture which was captured in the moment and understand what you mean when you say you can't go back and retake it.

Thanks again Nessa, it was one of those special shots that, though not perfect, really kept drawing my attention back to it.
***Interesting story*** behind this beautiful animal. She was sold as a cub to an "exotic dancer"/stripper who used the cat in her act. Of course, when the pretty little kitty grew to 700lbs, the apartment wasn't big enough for the both of them, so someone had to go!!!! Apparently Miami is a great place to buy exotic pets, so I'm told.

Ya' know Kevin, you're absolutely right about that! I really contemplated posting this particular shot because of the focus issue. Being schooled in the more traditional "old school" ways, it really upsets me when nothing in a shot is focused. I've violated my own standards here (as well as a few times before on this same site), but I still like this shot and wanted to share it. I didn't have the luxuary of a re-shoot with this kitty, so what you see is what I got. Thanks for your very valid criticism.

Vry well captured and the tight frame really keeps your focus on this tigers facial expression. I also really like the well saturated color but it is too bad the picture isn't in focus. Keep up the good work.

Un ottimo scatto naturalistico, degno del national!
Complimenti!
