Hi Tim, I think that maybe a bit more of the profile of the face would help. The nose would make it look better. Otherwise a good strong image. Don.

Hugo,
Thank you so much for your CC, i always appreciate a good piece of coherent input.

I actually tried to avoid the 'lower left' composition as i've seen it done that way a thousand times, and was trying to take my own spin off. I wanted to concentrate more on the act, and feminine characteristics of the model. I do agree with you regarding the crop, it is a bit tight. The original allows the model to breath a bit, but there is a big hulking tree branch in the corner, so i cropped it out. I was feeling lazy, so i didn't clone it lol. Thanks again for your comments, very much appreciated.

Hi Timothy,

A very powerful pose, and an interesting solution as far as the composition is concerned.

Interesting - as I think it's neither good nor bad - because it does create the feel and atmosphere you introduce with the title very well, but also, because I do feel the image is a bit tightly composed. The pattern in the clouds is quite attractive, and I think, that the association of praying (related to worship, I believe) might be stronger depicted if you had allowed for more sky, placing the silhouette figure in the lower left corner.

I do like the low POV, it works really well to stress the image of "a higher power", if you know what I mean.

Good post-processing work, rendering the figure into a strong silhouet, whilst preserving the finer elements (hairs), not blowing them out by the bright background. Very well handled, and a good control of both PS and camera. I like this shot a lot, and I'm rather surprised noone else has commented on it yet.

Cheers,

Hugo
