Very peaceful subject! It is hard to get the full tonal range, but I like it anyways with the warm duotone effect. There is an interesting element to the composition that takes it from the static - it is the pylons that are arranged on a diagonal intersecting the kayaker. Well done, Kathy!

Hey Kathy, nice photo, looks like a beautifull moment for you and Susie.
about the photo, i like the composition, we can't just neglect such beautifull sky view. Still the other suggested one is moody and can stand alone. i might say the sky lights are alittle over burnt, but the water is fine at this level of exposure.
very nice work, and keep it up :)

I love the golden tones of this composition my dear Kathy and the reflections holding the silhouetted subject are stunning. I took a long hard look at your alternative posting and I think I love that even more. The main post is beautiful and peaceful looking, the second has a more dramatic mood to it........hey, what do I know??

Hi Kathy,
I thought I recognized this place :) The sunset looks good in the water, but, I'm going to say the same thing on this one as I said on Susie's. To me, the sky looks too blown out over the trees and coming out of the clouds. I'm not sure you can do anything about it, or even want to. As Susie says, it is a subjective thing.
Anyway, don't take me too serious. My eyes are probably all screwed up from playing around with blurry images :)
