What a great springtime image. I too would love to see it with a slight levels adjustment, to bring out the beautiful colors and detail a bit more. Nice work.

This is very beautiful Walter, what an amazing place. I like how you have given us the feel of size with the splatering of houses throughout.I also love how this scene has these three distinct layers, each with it very unique feel and textures. I do like the way Hugo lightened the trees a bit, but the composition and the colors are great. Alison

Hi Walter, How have you been? It's been a while, that's for sure...:)
Very nice alpine view, lush, tranquil and very appealing! I like the various layers in this photo, it creates a good feel for distance. Very nice shot...
A few things cross my mind when viewing this photo:
1. The tones are nicely saturated, creating a warm feel, but I think it could use a bit more brightness, as especially the trees look a bit dark.
2. The rugged mountains in the back are excellent, but looking at both the right and left side of the image, I have a feeling the strength of the image fades away a bit; have you considered cropping the image to a square format, placing the mountains more dominantly in the photo? I think that would really make this photo rock (no pun intended) I've attached the crop I refer to.
3. I like the scattered sheds in the field, and I wonder if it would've been possible to include one a bit more in the foreground, as I think that might emphasise the feel of distance even stronger...
Very good shot, though. Good to see it in the Critiquers' Corner!
