Two great flower shots - interesting lighting, that tugsten lap - must be really intense.
I like the sharp details against the black bakground. Interesting colors, good framing.

Exceptional except for the grain, neat image and adobe can fix this, and it’s not cheating! That 800 iso is killing this shot! I’m all for right off the camera images as far as crops, exposure.. Basically minimal retouches, except when it comes to noise or converting to b/w. anyway’s.. I know how difficult these shots are and I think you did a great job in terms of depth of field and composition. The black background, overhead lighting, it’s all working good. F11 @ 1/500 and 800 iso.. I’m not sure what the situation was during this shoot, was the wind blowing? Why 1/500? I see you used a background so that leads me to believe that it was a controlled environment. I might have tried a few different exposures like f11 or higher.. shutter and iso as low as you can go under that lighting, iso 100 and 1/30 or something. all in all, I don’t like florals but I respect them, and I respect this shot. it’s just that the noise that doesn’t fit the subject. I sincerely hope this was a constructive comment. I’m glad to see you shooting again, I haven’t seen you here on the internet in awhile. ~Mike
