About poor tree branches with a rather thick coating of ice... once again 2 views... a longer shutter (this one) or a shorter one (comment pic) I tend to like the water in this one and the ice in the other...

Your right about the different views!!! I tend to agree with you about what you like better in each picture. Isn't digital grand!!! No more horrible expence. Your making me jelous of you soft water techniques. I need to go find some moving water now!!! It is fun to experiment!!!

You captured amazing winter phenomena, a good selective elements and composition.
Ps. Although I’ve completely shifted to digital photography but in my opinion slides (ektachrome film) produce the best result with out editing interference, as of the digital colour correction, in fact there is and can be altered within the camera selective program, by adding or subtracting colour temperature, especially in pro or semi-pro cameras.

As with digital cameras also different films have different color casts. The advantage with digital processing is that you can change it in the way you like;)

Hi Markus... well, I have tried to get the colour as close to the original slide as possible, and I think I did fairly well. Being in the shade as this place usually is, there is always that blue cast on things. I'm not sure how a decent digital cam would work there, whether or not there would be as much blue overtones or not. At any rate, thanks for the comment! Hope you had a great Easter! Cheers, Gary

Hi Gary, it's a very interesting study and I was just curious, what it would mean to change a bit the colors level. Have a look.
