Nice composition but maybe a bit too much contrast? Have you tried HDR (high dynamic range) imaging? It's a really fantastic method that enables you to capture both a deep shadow detail and a highlight detail. Using a tripod you shoot a couple of different exposure photos (2EV apart) to cover the whole dynamic range of the scene. Then you combine these images with a PS CS, Photomatrix or some other HDR enabled software. Using an advanced tone mapping you then 'collapse' the 32bit/chanel HDR image to 8bit while preserving all of the original detail. The results can be fantastic! Take a look at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging http://www.hdrsoft.com/ http://www.cambridgeincolour.com/tutorials/high-dynamic-range.htm
Have fun!

But i thought i already made a comment to this! It´s a great composition, both alone and protected by the hills.

Excellent composition...personally I would lighten up the foreground (esp on the right) and darken the blue sky..just my opinion

Great location and very well shot. The nice clouds and sunshine really make this picture beautiful. About the composition: The landscape really pulls you towards the lonely tree, also the clouds work in the same perspective. Well found. Keep up the good work
