tyler, thanks! steve came and showed me a crop, too. i appreciate your comments! it IS rare to get such a still surface - and i am on/around the water a lot! much appreciated.

thanks, steve! that is really nice of you to show me a better crop. i really appreciate it. thank you! it is much better to have the fish not in the true center, and to get rid of the rock's shelf at the bottom corner. thank you.

A really nice shot. Great colors and clarity, Jessie. The only suggestion I would add to would be to crop the photo differently to make a less static composition. I mocked up a suggestion below. Steve

Great shot.. Love the shadow too and the clarity of the water! A tighter crop might help a bit.. But its a great shot.. rare to get so little disturbance off of the water sirface :)

thanks, dave. i take so many outdoor pix that i do have a polarizer on my camera all the time. i don't really notice a difference on the indoor ones (since they are so infrequently taken!)....but i can tell the difference on the outdoors. i need to learn a lot more about them, but i am glad i have one. thanks!

Good capture of the fish, Jessie! Did you use a polarizer to get rid of reflections? Dave.
