As so many people are enquiring about this place I must say that it was God's grace that we got this fantastic weather condition at the place. As we have reached there in the month of feb there was a huge dilemma among us that wheather we will be able to make it at all. In fact the travel agent mentioned that if they found the weather condition is bad they will return. We don't have time as well as money to try it the next day so you can understand we were left with no option but believing on our luck and even God realised our true eagerness to visit the place and we have got this bright sky.

Hi ARIJIT,
It's wonderful to see this picture in usefilm as I was with you in time of capturing this and I understand what was the real beauty there. The most important thing you have done through this is creating interest about this heavenly place as now many peaople are enquiring about it. Just I want to mention one thing that is the height of this place is 17'200 ft and not 17,100ft as you have mentioned. Anyway carry on the good work. Hope to see more such wonderful shots. thank u partha for your comment! i am very happy that every body is liking the picture and showing there willingness to visit gurudongmer, it is indeed the success of my photograph . but i hardly deserve any credit for it as the place it self is very beautiful.
to visit gurudongmer u have to start by jeep from gangtok , first day halt being at lachen( 9,000 ft) or thango ( 12,700ft.). next morning start early, reach grudongmer by jeep . enjoy its breath taking beauty and come back to lachen.

just fyi, Nilanjan and myself are very good friends. Some of our common friends visited Gurudongmar this winter. And since then, I have seen the pics god knows how many times.. and craved to be there.
