My only critique would be to drop the shutter speed to gain a deeper DOF... ;)

Kenneth: I absolutely agree with your point of view about frames. My comment was more about the specific design of the frame. Overall I think it looks great, but feel that the inner shadow on the left and bottom conflicts with the 3D effect elsewhere in the frame.
I'm still undecided myself. Whenever I've used frames I've usually received comments like "waste of space" and "shame about the frame". And yet from my point of view the frame was an integral part of the overall effect I was trying to create. Nevertheless, at present I just use a single pixel outline in order to isolate my images from the UF background.

Yeah, I know after I sent it in, I crop the boat to tight and made the frame a bit large, it is over powering, thanks for the comments my friend.

Thanks for the comments Randy, I appreciate your comments and opinions. I know some don't like frames, but I a frames kinda guy. I figure when most people take photos they put them in frames and display them so this gives me an idea of what it will look like on display. I hope you see my point!

Ok Thanks for the comments, the color of the sky is smoke from the large fire that they were fighting on the Mississippi River Wharf in New Orleans, the water is that color because it is the muddy Mississippi River at New Orleans. Very nice capture, great detail and colors. The sky makes a great background for subject to stand out, particularly the jet of water. I do agree with John about the frame.

This is a fine shot, with wonderful clarity and detail. I like the contrast of the colours of the water and sky, and the way the fire boat appears to be on the horizon. I do find the frame a little much though - I think it would be OK without the inner shadow on the left and bottom.

This awsome shot..!!!! The color of the sky is too much..!! Boat is clearly standing out..!! How come the water is yellowish..!!
Just a thought ...cropping is bit tight..!!
