Hey now, wait a minute. You can't lay this one on my shoulders. A simple $3 replacement blade would have done the trick.

No, no, tea and dung are not my specialties though automobile forensics is. I testify regularly as an expert witness on the subject.
I think in some perverse way, you are getting your wish of higher and higher comments by bantering with me. Well, okay, but just remember.... I am getting my KARMA RAISED thanks to it... LOL
Replace your blade... before it's too late.

Now that's just freaking Coooool! You can read wiper trails on rain streaked windshields?? You must be awesome with tea leaves and llama dung! - Hugo gave it to me with both barrels for this shot . . . framing and the "you could do better" speech I recall on report card days from Dad when I was a kid . . . you know listening to him tell my brother--I was a good student! I still think he was right. - I had considered pulling it at one point but Mary said I was brilliant . . . LoL! - I do like the idea of not tipping the hand right away though. I May have to try that. I usually explain a lot in the 'about' section to keep my comments down. (Sorry . . . but I'm still having a bit of fun with you)! - One thing I think we both agree (heartily) about is that action--and interaction--are a lot of fun. Stay cool Dave! I'm off work now so I have to go!

Okay, if I may be critical here: you need new windshield wipers. That long streak indicates a missing portion of contact.
Just kidding. It's not easy doing a rain on the window shot but this turned out well. It would be interesting to see how many would recognize the truck without being tipped by the title.
Best wishes, Dave

Hugo: Bless you for the honesty! "To be honest" need not be uttered by you as I would expect nothing less. I regret to say I agree with you . . . I CAN do better than this one. Framing critique is spot on too! Well spoken . . . "the tones and feel of the image is pretty good." Uh huh. Right . . . I mean thanks! Classic critique my friend . . . the kind we need!

Hi Doyle,
I like the idea behind this photo, but the image looks a bit too jagged to make it work. I hate the phrasing "to be honest" as it implies that's an exception, but I'll use it anyway; I think you can do much better than this in terms of image quality. The tones and feel of the image is pretty good.
I also find the presentation a bit too elaborate; keeping the frame more simple would keep the attention where it belongs: the photo itself. A simple frame could well be an addition, and is often quite nice, but the simpler it is, the less distracting, I believe. Obviously a subjective statement, though....:)
Cheers,
Hugo

Brilliant- the number of different things you do! This really is a great idea and close up. The drops on a car- so clear and bright. Never saw them so positive before Doyle!
