About The logical consequence of leaving all distracting background elements from the image...
I am under the impression that it should be cropped a little, but i can't decide where to do it.

nice effect, almost seems like an oil-painting.

Very whimsical and fanciful image. I think it takes us all back to childhood (or perhaps parenthood for some). You have captured the sense of adventure and freedom one feels when swinging so high. Very good work.

On the crop, I believe this is very good as it is. If the original has more unobstructed sky to the right and above, you might try positioning the figure to the lower left in that shot, which would create an even bigger sky and a more pronounced feeling of freedom and wonder. Yet it is a lovely shot cropped as it is now!

Regards,
Mark

I do not think that you should crop this image. It is perfect as it is. Love the wide open sky around her and the position of the swing. Nice capture of the action and well composed. :) Andree

Wouter . . . I like the POV and the perspective like this is really quite nice! I like the strong lines on the left so . . . if you wanted to crop to balance a bit I would say pulling in the right side crop a tad might help pull her off-center and add a bit of dynamic impact. This is one very nice shot . . . I like it a lot!

Great fun capture. I like it as it is without cropping, she is centered but the chains have the effect of pulling your view to left. I would, when there are such light tones in image such as here, frame with a dark line of at least 1 or 2 pixels for display on screen.

Hi Wouter,
The sky does give it an open feeling but I think you are right, it seems a bit off. Might I suggest to crop it starting from the top chain and going over to the right of her foot, leaving a bit of sky between the foot and border. I think it might balance the picture out a little more. Great idea though.
