City - Fall Creek Falls State Park State - TENNESSEE Country - United States
About
There is a park-appointed vista with guard-rails all around the small viewing area to view this famous Falls along the Cumberland-Plateau in Middle Tennessee...But it just didn't give me the vantage-point I wanted...So what are guard-rails for? To cross over, of course! After traversing past the guard-rails down onto this mini-plateau to get the most expressive vantage point, I shot 10-14 frames of this Majestic Falls at F/22 and around 3-5 seconds for blur...It was sorta' scary on this mini-out of bounds-plateau of rock-plates as it's a 300ft.+ straight drop down to the jagged rocks below...So I was being cautious in my steps and sure-footed like a Mountain Lion...And I got the shot...And then I got the hell out of there before Ranger's discovered me...Risky? Yes...My Style? Yes...Regrets? Nope! Hope you Like!
Living life on the edge, eh? 'Tis the only way to live in my book. Your risk here paid off, nice going... I think Gayle sums it up well in her comment, excellent and very skillful photography.
Cheers Rina.
[CRACK! ooops... sorry... that sound still making you jumpy?]
a risk taker,eh?...we aren't suppose to cross over guard rails? (that is what i would say to any Ranger)...
My first impression of this shot was that it is serene and lush...next i noticed that from this perspective, the foreground dominates which is fine by me because i like the earthy hues and textures...then i noticed how the plateau gave me a feeling of being right there...nice depth to the image and the F/22 gave nice clarity to the background...the slow shutter setting gave that lovely spun silk look to the waterfall...that film gives good color and a very appealing contrast level and excellent definition...glad to see ya shootin' film and with a Nikon ;> good one,MS-man! regards, gayle
