I feel for you Mary... I myself had my oldest dog put to sleep last year & found the pain unbearable.. though was very lucky to have Jackie for company. My mother has just lost her only dog & is greatly upset. It's like loosing a member of the family... some don't understand the grief of loosing a pet... guess my family connect too closely... though we must remember their lifespans are much smaller than ours & our lives are blessed by the time they share with us.
I strongly believe my eldest dog comes back occasionaly to keep an eye on me.. time does help those memories become golden once the grief has had time to subside.

I love the face. For the first time in 36 years, we are without a dog. Our 14 year old sweetie gave us lots of good times. We had to be kind back to her in Aug. when she had a stroke and have her put to rest. I'd love to jump into this picture and pet this beauty. You captured the character and the features so very well.

Bless Danny.. think this mutt is always hungry..lol.. ate her way through half the BBQ as well as all the bones she could find lying about... bless.. think she would be hard to put on a diet..lol
