During my first photographical course, here it?s one of my first Photo in a studio, with professional lights and all the staff. I love the soft atmosphere of this image and I find also the subject very interesting.
Well I personally think an ASA 100 Film is sharper als an ASA 200 or 400. I think it is the lens. I can remember using this lens. The film if I am right is an Elitechrome Extracolour. If that is try then you have to watch out with the light, It is not a film for Studio light. You can push it to 160 ISO. that will be better.
Thanks for your comment. Yeah, I know the portrait isn't sharp at all: it's due to the film (I chose only a 100 ASA, I'd to use at least a 200 or a 400 ASA, to obtain faster shutter with a subject, who didn't want to be quiet!). And second, I used a tele-lense (200 mmm), therefore it makes the image flat against the background. I also see such errors, but I learn through them :)
The skin tones doesn't look very good to me. Lighting could use some work (but then again, this is your first shoot with lights, and you're doing a course - so you'll improve on that). I think that the eyes need to be sharper. This looks soft and completely out of focus, and for this reason, I feel you need to work on it a little more.
