You have a post work flare all of your own Gayle. A very creative mind. Love the textures and colour in this one.

Gayle this one struck me immediately in the thumbnail..first of all because of its overall design and contrast...two things I favor in photography and painting. When I looked at the full image I was then completely blown away! Love all the subtle nuances in color and the light is so moody ...I love this one!

Interesting piece of work, Gayle, I like it...probably the colors are what grab my eye.

hi ya,brat...appreciate that you stopped in to comment, but feel you totally misunderstand photo-art intent.....have attached the original shot which was an ok traditional shot, handheld at late sunset...rather boring to my sensibility, thus why i decided to change it up to be more impressionistic....photo-art often does not have a "central subject" and it is not about having a "critical eye toward focus"...the rules go out the window with "photo-art"...the intrinsic appeal of a holga or pinhole shot is the blur, light leaks and general distortions...my photo-art images are mostly a result of post-processing,tho' some controlled aspects such as dof blurs do occur in-camera.....not trying to put you off about leaving your opin, but remember what i said previously about how we can critique traditional shots, but only say what appeals or not to us subjectively IF it is the person's vision presented as "photo-art"?....when you say,
"This wouldn't have survived the first round I fear."...well,you would never have seen such an imaage first or second round cause it was "created as photo-art" in post-editing! ;>
We can discuss my "recognizing photo-art" course fee later,dude...;>

The blurs to the right and top of the image only seem to add to the feeling of overall ....dunno... clutter. It appears to ME to be a pile 'o grass without any central subject.

As you know, I 'shoot like the wind' while I'm out in the field, but I unhesitatingly delete the blurry images or experimental shots that don't jump off the screen at first glance. Then, I take a second pass with an even more critical eye toward focus and balance. This wouldn't have survived the first round I fear.

Love the colors of confusion with a bit of clarity, Makes me think of the speed of life and the slowness of a pleasant thought from behind between the differnet levels of advice that can easily create a criss cross mind....One of these days/and it won't be long/goin' down to the river/and sing my song - gonna sing it loud/gonna sing it strong/ let the echo decide/if I was right or wrong... Gayle, you do these so well!

A wonderful conglomeration of colours, lines, textures and lighting! Just like your recent BIP image, these images are unique and mysterious! Well done!

Cheers

Phil
