Great shot of a great place. Robin hood didn't do this location justice. You did. I am most impressed by your consistently impressive pics with gorgeous Skies.
thanks for the comment.

Really a wonderful shot very well conceived and composed following the diagonal maded by the clouds, tree and sheeps balanced in its whole for shapes and volumes. A special mention for the quality of B/W. My best compliments and thank you for your comment to mine shot Paolo

So striking and strong. Stretches the eyes beautifully. Something very atmospheric about that tree.

Thankyou Mary - It's one of my favourite spots, just have to catch a moment when it's not packed with walkers.

Thankyou Kes, this is one of my favourite trees, and in fact Kevin Costner stood beside it in the opening bbit of Robin Hood. It's well known so the trick is to try and show it in a slightly different way.

There is definately something about this that really appeals to me. It is intersting because this has both a dark mood and a bright one at the same time. Intriguing how you achieved that. For me, the bright mood wins out. I like how the tree seems the be walking through the mounds and into the light. Very well composed and presented. MAry

Hi Jo, excellent photo! I like the stark tree and the sky is wonderfully dark. I get the feeling of a dark mood here...and can't help but think the sheep should be wary of...something! Best regards, Kes
