Oh, good point. I didn't actually touch them. They could be the famous Californian Carnivorous Caterpillar. I'll bring a toy poodle to test this possibility.

It is a pretty cool looking caterpillar. I posted it to a bug identifying site, but I've had no luck getting a response. Oh, well. Next time I'll kidnap one and send it to your studio. Hahaha.

Thank you Cathy... I'm growing indoors.. the lettuce anyway... maybe I kicked them out too soon... if I'd have waited I could have got some cacoon shots followed by amazing butterfly closeups! Though then I'd not have my lettuce! lol. Comment greatly appreciated x

Thanks for the comment James... & you may think this shot is better than yours, though you definately have a more interesting looking subject (looks like he belongs to the mohegan tribe.. lol) x

Excellent shot. Very nice detail. Your hazy background is great. I'm looking forward to seeing the others. I have a couple of caterpillar shots up, but this is much better.

Love the title and the story that goes with it. Lovely simple, crisp image. Looking forward to the rest. Cathy ( great to see people growing their own food-may inspire me to get out in the garden)
