Simply turn your body . . . Left side would work too, by the way . . . :)

You are very lucky to have this long bike trail near you Carlen. We have non here in Oregon ( well in LC ) ... it's just you & the semi's plus as I've stated before in a couple pictures there is also nothing level in Or. therefore some of the mountains are much too hard to ride up and then too scary to fly down ! Fl. was good with bike trails and flat as well, even too flat, but the bike trails were very nice. Thank you for the explanation. Bikes and photography work very well together ! Michele~

Ok maybe you could explain this to me again. I understand what you're saying as far as moving the horizon point to the right but how can I do that when it curves to the left and stops? I mean the road itself in this area is very symmetrical. I'm not fully understanding what you meant. Sorry. =/

Yup, it's a bike trail. Only about a ten min drive from my house and then the whole trail is 12.8 km or something. I've never ridden the whole thing because it literally goes through the city. In this pic you go to the left and the bridge in my other photos is there and a path towards the pond. Or you can go right and then a left and keep going.
I reached the end of the first section on Wednesday and wasn't sure where to go cause there is a main road and bridge. When I drove by I found the rest of it on the other side of the street so I'm hoping to go back there tomorrow.

Wow , really this is a bike trail ? How nice. It is a simple but very nice shot Carlen. It is my favorite of the several you recently up-loaded. Very good color, and clarity. Nicely done. I am sure Doyle is right in his critique but to the eye in training, it's very appealing Michele~

I really like this image and I think it has a lot of energy. If this is near you, you should try squatting or even laying prone (provided it's not wet as in this photo of course) to gain more perspective and a greater DOF. Doyle's suggestion about moving the vanishing point I think is valid, too!
Well done, and keep up the great work! J

Really like this- the bright line and the perspective. Like the symmetry and such a definite line without knowing where it will end up.

Carlen: The full frame crop of pathway at the bottom of the shot was a good idea and I like that. I think, though, that this image is a bit static. No tension is generated to tease the eye since the whole thing is VERY symetrical . . . A better way (again, this is my opinion) to present this (especially in a perspective project) would be to get the path composed so that -- while the bottom remains a fully filled crop of pavement -- the top or horizon point at the other end of the path should be at the right side crop . . . creating a diagonal with strength and killing the symetry by replacing it with a more dynamic composition. I think the idea here is a good one and the wet pathway gives a natural 'earthy' feel. The colors and focus are good too. Hope this helps give you some ideas . . . :)
