The arrangement for this capture is very well planned.

The execution is wonderful with this ideal exposure.

I also like the composition and tone

Douglas, thanks for the input. Yes the original does look a bit flat to me now that I am looking at it on a properly calibrated monitor. The image I have had a slightly blue cast to it where yours is totally black and white, that may help a bit as well in tricking the eye into seeing more contrast, not sure. I will see if I can find the original film and scan a new version of it. Unfortunately the trylon was sold on ebay a few years ago, will have to see if I can find another. It was made by Bacarrat Crytal and was quite epxensive so not very common these days. I still have the crystal cube and sphere though.

Thanks for the input,

Phil

Dear Phil,

First of all, ... I like these unique geometric shapes and somewhat arranged so abstractly ... that's for sure!

But ... (and there are always a few aren't there?) ... this is what I don't like:

The smoky almost monochrome effect is lacking contrast ...
The horizontal plane is most defintely a bit off ... Yes/No?

Back to positives:

The electrical appearance in the trylon is descently noteworthy ...
The title is most appropriate ...

Thanks for sharing and I hope you don't mind the rework attached ...

Let's discuss it if you wish ... Okay?
