About This tiny female Rufous Hummingbird has been ruthlessly guarding our seven feeders in order to prevent any other hummingbirds from using them. She is relentless and, while not chasing away interlopers, will sit on this perch for hours during the day so as to disallow any other birds from sharing in her wealth. On-camera flash used for light as it is quite late in the day for this image.
