About In front of their tent, these two young ladies displayed their affection for one another. Families in the greater Tibetan region of China are extremely close, and they seem very contented with their lives as is.

I think this portrait turned out nice, however it was unexpected as I was rushed, and at the time of shooting I was contemplating asking the younger girl to put down what was in her hand. Looking back on it, I wish I had.

I am so touched by this photo. I can see how you look at ordinary people with respect and most of all love even in a foreign country unkown to you. The picture its self is carefully composed, natural expression of two sisters, so peaceful feeling. Though poor but they are content about what Bhuda arranged and planned. They are living with dignity in countryside with more pure mind than people in metropolitan like me. I also noticed you low down your body when taking this photo so that you eye contacting throught your lens with two girls are almost in paralle. Thank you so much for sharing this wondeful portrait of my countrywomen!

thanks alison. it never occurred to me to get rid of the white material in the photo. i honestly didnt think this one was going to turn out and i was more worried about that item the girl was holding in her hand. unlike a lot of photos people pose for in various parts of china (and other places), this one doesnt include anyone doing anything unnatural (flashing fingers in a "v" sign, unusual faces and so on).

i only wish i had taken more photos of these two young ladies but i was running short on time and they were actually busy inside the tent preparing some interesting dishes for our small group previously. my short experience inside the nomads tent is one i wont soon forget.

What a beautiful doble portrait, i love their pose and how you have isolated them from the background and I like her with the object in the hand. to make it a bit more formal you could clone out the white sack in the background. Alison

Maybe because it was such a spontaneous shot, there expressions are so wonderful. I like it a lot.
