Very nice composition, Moises, and excellent toning! The effect of the long exposure is very dramatic with the moving cloud. Well done! Dave.

Hi Clay:
43 mm in medium format is about 21 mm in 35 mm (very wide)I was very close to the tree, the motion effect on the clouds is because the exposure time 30sec (using a neutral density filter).
Thank you for your comment.

Wow, one really needs to get down & study this work to really appreciate (evaluate) your work! I am not familiar with the camera (medium format) which would make the 43mm len, a wide angle? The exposure of 30" or 1/30 gives accent to the form to clouds yet give the blurred aspect of motion. The dark foregound not only gives contrast to the flowers (foreground) but gives rise to the feeling that the middle ground (light area beyond tree) of flowing water of a seashore while the perspective horizon appeals to the sense of rising out of a sea.

Hi Toshi:
As you can see there are 2 references the far horizon that is really inclined and a near reference the is horizontal (Grass), I decide to leave the far horizon inclined as reality beacuse it gives more drama as if the tree want to climb the hill.
Best Regards, and thank you for your comment

A striking image, the wide angle and the dark sky really make this, as does the lean of the tree. The horizon does appear to be awkward, but you can't really control the lie of the land!

Very well-toned and intriguing, Moises The movement in the sky and the angle of the tree are inspiring - I believe you meant "cypress", my friend.
Cheers, Leora

What a great storm! Wonderfully strong image. I agree with Toshi and Shirley. I think that a straight horizong would make the angle and deformity of the tree even more prominent. Nice Shot!

I can't be sure if your horizon is supposed to be that tilted or not, but this is a strong photo. I can just feel the storms that have caused this tree to lean so!

A wonderful landscape photo, with effective black and white tones to create an eerie atmosphere. The dramatic cloud action in the sky and the detailed foreground all make for an excellent capture - the only distraction is the tilted horizon; perhaps just due to the rolling hill, but a slight rotation could stabilize the image. Nevertheless, very nice work Moises.
