What a stunning photograph, so moody, yet so tranquil. I can imagine sitting on that jetty mourning the loss of a loved one and finding peace as my sorrows are absorbed by nature. And you really can't beat Velvia for its gorgeous saturation. Congrats on the award!

I love take photographys with medium format cameras and use Fuji Velvia. Did you make an enlarger with 2m????

Fabulous purple/blue (Velvia) haze!!! Super diagonal composition, fantastic reflection, wonderful POV and great view... love the landscape 'disappearing' into 'nothing'... well done (not just taking this fine pic but also getting up that early... LOL)!!!

Beautiful serene image. I particularly like the way the background and reflection fade out giving an impression of infinity. That water is so calm.
From your discussion it appears that this is the natural colouration, I would not know such things, I am unlikely to ever experience pre-dawn hours. I love photography but I'm not that crazy!! Thank heavens there are people like you to show me what it is like. Cathy
