About This is the office complex where I started working back in 1976. The building was brand new then. Now, 30 years later it silently waits for the controlled demolition team to be imploded next month. It gives me mixed emotions.

great colors! and the contradiction between the sky and the ruins makes it very powerful

I really like this picture very much Martin. The combination of the bright blue skies, the green growth, the decaying buildings and our decaying civilization - as symbolized by the graffiti - give it a strong post-apocalyptic feeling. Good job.

PS - I took a look at your portfolio Martin - you've got some great photographs in there. Regards, D.

Wouter,
I used the shadow/highlight function to balance the lighting and strongly enhanced the midtone contrast which created the alienating effect for the most part. After that I selected the sky and made a slight color shift for the blue and cyan. Enhanced both colors also. Ultimately I enhanced the reds overall and increased saturation of the piece of concrete at the foreground.
Regards,
Martin

All the little details make this image work. I like the strong graphic feel and the details and coloring of the sky.

How did you achieve the effect - is this filters and layers in PS or using HDR technique?
