I'll try to follow your advice with the window light, and especially now, where I'm experimenting with photos in colour( I'm only used to taking B/W shots) I think it would have a great effect!
This photo of yours, brings a smile to my face. I really love photos that show everyday situations like this one. It tells a little story of another persons life, and makes the person viewing, feel like he or she knows you a little...
