About shot this about 5 AM, and had to make sure Doyle knew where it was before he walked out the door. It covered out front porch---I blame his roses.

That is interesting Marlyce. I would like to see how the spider folds it up ... Must be for sencing danger and making quick espcapes with-out loosing all the web work ? Or maybe just to hide from the flash ? Interesting...

Thank you Michele. One thing you might find interesting about my spider.....if I take to many pictures with the flash, it seems to fold up the web into a straight line, will try to post a picture of it this weekend for you.

Thank you Jessie, you should see me walk to the car in the early morning. First I tilt my head looking for reflection and then I walk with one arm moving up and down like a toy soldier, until I get to the car, then a sigh of relief.

What a marvel .... glad you shot & shared this one Marlyce. Spiders are amazing to me..
(remember I don't kll them just give them new homes)
The intriquite work they do non-stop and when there is a problem, like front lower left... do they make the best possible repair ? Or what the heck (?) move and start all over again ... I guess I should read about them more for all of these questions.
It's a great shot...Love the blk & wht. and am curious about the actual size...

Thank you Mary. Between the roses and cactus the spiders apparently love us! Thankfully they seem to like us enough that they stay outside and don't bite!

Thank you James. The coloration is I removed the color, taken before dawn it was not too hard to do. The light capture is the flash as it was the only way I could see the darn thing. Almost walked into it.
