Philadelphia Folk Fest Day 1
The day I arrived this year it was hot and sunny on the hillside. Throughout the afternoon there were a couple of small dust-devils that combined with the sealed in hot air of the zipped up empty tents waiting for their happy camper to arrive, managed to launch several tents into the air! This one looks like it was coming in for a landing.
I've seen tents flying through the air before...but never have I seen them launching themselves like hot air baloons and just floating in the sky long enough for people to go back to their own campsites, find their camera, shoot some pictures, and then shoot a few more pictures half an hour later when they have settled in at a different campsite and realize that the shot is better from where they're at now.
Oddly enough...the Fest management decided to have a 'theme' this year...guess what they picked....
