Great. I like the composition and the "human-like-esxpression" in the pigeons face, looks very curious. Kind Regards, Gerhard

Thanks Brother
I knew everything about lenses and F stops and anything else you didn't mentioned above such as my lens's glass quality which is not that high it used to be and more,
but I have to tell you that I am not into Birds shot, all of these pigeons shots are from one day and hardly more than one hour!
I know using wealthy long fast lenses would be so great, but I'm an amateur, and I want to use my mind to catch the scene.
I think I had more alternatives for that reason, for example increasing ISO to have better speed.
and finally, be sure, it doesn't harm me! the only thing which make me sad is that how you can ignore the meaning and stay in the surface.
I think these pigeons shots are deeper than just Sharpness and my lens F stop 4 at 70 mm focal length!
Let me thank you again for your attention and I wish you luck with the studio and your (I think) new equipments,
Thanks Again,
Mohammad

Dear brother Mohammad, by no means I can fool you, this image is not sharp again.

You are using high range zoom of 70-300mm which is very slow and with maximum F stop opening of F4 at the 70mm side while F5.6 at the 300mm.

This sort of capture with this sort of zoom range would require a shutter speed of at least 1/500 to obtain stabilities of this lens and then obtain sufficient sharpness and not as you stated 1/125; of course your lens would not provide that for you.

You need to look into the possibilities of obtaining a zoom lens with F stop opening of F2.8, if birds capture is what you have in mind, and or use a very heavy tripod at all times with lens of yours.

It’s also to be noted here, that such low speed zoom would again affect the color renditions of such capture.

I really do not mean any harm here at all and this is just an advice from a friend and in order to get you down to the fact which you are into with these images.

" This is a better format her "

All of the best

The pigeon isn't so happy Mohammad, I sure can notice that. Nice choise for the sepia, it gives the image a sort of moody atmosphere. Very unusual angle, did you take this shot straight up?
Take care my friend,

Klaas
