Thanks Mark. Fascinates to think the substance was real. The dilemma you mention always intrigued me. Whether there really is anything totally original. Or is it always inspired by something already there. Must be the second in some way or we would be empty socially- impossible since birth! But HOW you are inspired must be original- nobody would do that same picture as you now would they?!

thought the crystal kind of represented a birth of an idea. The sun in the background outside of the head, kind of felt how we can take something on the outside of us and give birth to something new. It really was pretty much as you see it. Just used doge and burn to lighten and darken the shadows to fit with the idea. Hope that helps. Kept on making me think of the chicken and the egg, which came first the idea or the seeing of something to spark the idea.

Great original ideas as usual Mark. And as usual, I am intrigued to know more! What is the metaphor you mention? I love the fact that there is more than one shadow and the circles in there too. Is it layers you did or was that the way it was?
